3TV Junior Forecaster Contest
Submit your best weather forecast and enter to win a spot on 3TV delivering the weather with one of the 3TV Forecasters, a weather station and camera for your school, plus more prizes.
To Enter: Click the Submit Now button. If you don't have a username yet, click Sign-Up! to register. You will receive a confirmation email to activate your new account. Now browse and attach your video and write a short description (optional). Select the "3TV Junior Forecaster" channel. Click Submit Story and you're entered! All entries must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian 18 years of age or older.
CONTEST RULES: The Contest is open to legal residents of Arizona who reside in the following counties: Maricopa, Pinal, Gila, Graham, Greenlee, La Paz, Mohave, Yavapai, Coconino, Navajo and Yuma and who are currently in 4th, 5th or 6th grade at the time of entry.
You may enter on www.azfamily.com/younews by submitting a video of a weather forecast that is no longer than 90-seconds.
Each video must include the following approval message from the Principal of the entrant's school to be considered for the contest: "I am Principal (Insert Principal's name) from (Insert School Name) and I approve this Forecast" Example: "I am Principal John Smith from Eaglewood Elementary and I approve this Forecast."
The winners will be selected by a panel of judges comprised of members from the 3TV Forecasters, Arizona Science Center and the National Weather Service from all qualified entries postmarked by the deadlines. Judging criteria consists of originality, creativity and public votes.
Winners will receive a spot on 3TV with one of the 3TV Forecasters to deliver the weather, a weather station and camera for entrant's school including basic installation, lifetime curriculum from Weather Bug and classroom assistance from Arizona Science Center.
By submitting an entry, you confirm that you are over the age of 18 and the parent or legal guardian of the child for whom you are submitting an entry.
