PHOENIX -- We’ve had two consecutive days with sub-freezing temperatures around metro Phoenix. So far Sunday, the coldest temperature at Sky Harbor has been 30 degrees, but we’ve been down to 20 at Laveen and 21 at Chandler.
There are some light winds around so you can actually do wind chills around the Valley, and they’re in the teens and 20s.
In northern Arizona, -19 was the reading at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Flagstaff was running around -6.
Freeze Warnings continue for two more morning; Monday and Tuesday. Monday may actually be a bit colder than Sunday. And for Sunday and Monday, high temperatures will not get out of the 40s!
Relief is in sight. By next weekend, expect highs in the 70s.
