Lightning caused hay fire in Maricopa

Firefighters were unable to bring equipment into the fire due to flooding. The property owners were advised of the situation and worked with MFD to survey the area so that they could bring in private heavy equipment to work the fire. There were no structures threatened. The fire is believed to have been sparked by a lightning strike.
