PHOENIX -- A Phoenix mother whose furniture was destroyed by monsoon flooding got an unexpected delivery Friday.

Pruitt's and other Valley furniture stores arrived at Victoria Rodriguez's Sunnyslope home with four new bed sets for her and her family.

Owners of Good Buys Furniture in Sun City donated more couches, tables, and lamps over the weekend.

When 3TV's Jared Dillingham spoke to Rodriguez on Thursday, two days after monsoon storms slammed her neighborhood, she had reached her breaking point.

"I'm sorry to get emotional but I mean, it's just the aftermath. It's ridiculous," she said.

The American Red Cross put her family up in a hotel for three nights while she tried to make her home livable. But even after Rodriguez spent days cleaning, her sopping wet couches and mattresses could not be salvaged.

"I haven't slept," she said. "I'm exhausted."

But after hearing Rodriguez's story, good Samaritans decided to donate the bed sets.

"Wow," Rodriguez said. "There's no other words to describe but wow."
