GLENDALE, Ariz. -- A microburst in Glendale Thursday evening left behind all sorts of damage at University of Phoenix Stadium.
High winds tore down trees and toppled at least eight light poles in the parking lot.
In addition, a portion of the roof -- a translucent canvas-like material stretch over steel girders -- was damaged. Aerial video showed a hole in the fabric.
A University of Phoenix Stadium spokesman said debris, including pieces of insulation, fell on the stadium floor. Scott Norton said stadium officials are evaluating the damage and trying to determine how much repairs will cost.
Norton said stadium employees were safely evacuated. No injuries were reported.
