PHOENIX (AP) -- A flash flood watch will be in effect for the Phoenix area and much of south-central and southwestern Arizona from noon Tuesday through Wednesday morning.
The National Weather Service says showers and thunderstorms will produce very heavy rainfall that will lead to flooding of urban areas and normally dry washes.
The weather service says the threat for flooding will continue at least through Wednesday morning but that drier conditions are anticipated by Thursday.
