PHOENIX -- The next couple of days are going to be very nice around the Valley. High temperatures will be right around 80 and overnight lows will be in the 50s. But it’s coming. A pretty decent storm is forecast for the end of the week. That storm will drop temperatures about 20 degrees and bring us a decent change for desert rain. In the mountains, it’s likely we’ll see some snow.
At this point, it looks like our chances for rain start going up Friday and will hang around into the day on Saturday. Most of our models are indicating we could see about 1/4 inch of rain around metro Phoenix.
In the mountains, it’s hard to start talking about snowfall amounts because a lot of that is going to depend on when the cold air gets here. However, it’s likely we’re going to see some locations getting 4 to 6 inches of snow. We’ll have more on that as we get closer to the storm.
