PHOENIX -- A storm moves through the West today, driving strong winds in Arizona. Arizona isn't expected to get any rain from the system, as the bulk of the moisture stays to our north. But strong southwesterly winds are expected throughout the afternoon and breezy conditions will linger into tomorrow, too.
The Valley and other parts of the state are under a Red Flag Warning today for strong winds and low relative humidity. It's a combination that leads to dangerous fire weather. For the Valley, that Warning goes from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, when residents can expect humidity less than 15 percent and sustained winds up to 20 mph. Higher gusts are possible.
Look for a high of 95 today, but cooler weather moves in tomorrow behind today's storm.
Wednesday brings a high of 87 degrees and more breezy weather.
Temperatures rebound Thursday and Friday into the low 90s but another dry but windy storm this weekend will bring highs back to the low 80s.
