PHOENIX -- It was a chilly start to the day Wednesday with overnight lows in the upper 30s and low 40s in the Valley. This afternoon, expect partly cloudy skies and a high of about 62 degrees.
Tomorrow, a dry but windy storm moves into Arizona. A cold front is expected to push through, bringing a drop in temperatures but very little rain or snow.
A wind advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service for western Arizona along the Colorado River, including Parker, Yuma and Lake Havasu City. Expect strong northerly winds between 25 and 35 miles per hour, with gusts up to 45 miles per hour.
In the Valley, afternoon temperatures will only top out in the upper 50s Thursday and Friday, thanks to the cold front. Friday and Saturday mornings will be especially chilly with lows in the 30s. Sunshine and warmer weather is expected by Christmas Day with highs back in the upper 60s.
