PHOENIX -- We did have some some impressive wind gusts in northern Arizona as a cold front approached from the west.
Williams had a 50 mph gust, while Flagstaff was right behind with a gust of 49 mph. The South Rim of the Grand Canyon, Kingman and Show Low also reported wind gusts in the upper-40s. However, on the scale of high country wind, it has not been much to write home about.
In the Valley, it was much the same story. Peak wind gusts did get to around 30 miles an hour, but sustained winds were nearly absent in some areas. It is expected to remain pretty breezy overnight as the front moves into the state.
Temperatures are also going to be a bit cooler. For the next couple of days, we expect highs in the upper-80s.
