PHOENIX -- Moisture is headed back into Arizona, as a result, we should see an upswing of summer thunderstorms through the weekend. Most of the action will be in the mountains. Flagstaff has a 40 percent to 46 percent chance for T-Storms both Saturday and Sunday.

In the Valley, it looks like the best chance for storms will be Sat night into Sunday. There’s also a chance we’ll see some blowing dust around the Valley for the weekend.

Temperatures around metro Phoenix were in the 102 to 108 range late Friday afternoon and we expect that for Saturday. Sunday, with more moisture, temperatures will moderate a bit.

In the mountains, look for day time highs in the 70s and 80s throught Sunday.

Early next week, the monsoon flow will get a little less favorable and we’ll dry out again. By this time next week, once again, we’ll be seeing temps well above average.
