PHOENIX -- The ridge of high pressure centered to the west of Arizona continues to bring us lots of sunshine and temperatures above average. That means 70s in the desert and 50s and 60s in the high country.

Right now, it looks like this weather is pretty much locked in for the next 10 days. Highs will remain in the mid-to-upper 70s through next weekend.

It’s day 28 without rain in Phoenix and day 27 without snow in Flagstaff. The dry streak is much more unusual for Flagstaff, although a month without rain in the Valley is pretty impressive during the winter.

At this point, it looks like the dry spell will reach at least the 36-day mark before we’re even talking about a chance for precipitation.
