PHOENIX -- It was a cloudy start to the day across much of Arizona, but skies are expected to clear by the afternoon.
Look for a Valley high of 90 degrees today, which is still about 5 degrees above average, but a bit cooler than yesterday's 95 degree high temperature. More heat relief is in sight as Friday and the weekend will bring high temperatures in the upper 80s and overnight lows in the 50s and low 60s.
Dry and sunny weather is expected through the weekend.
Early next week, weather models are showing a storm heading for Arizona. The system will bring windy and cooler conditions, but at this point, rain is looking uncertain.
Look for windy weather Monday through Wednesday, with afternoon highs dropping to the mid 70s by next Wednesday.
Early indications are that this year, Halloween in the Valley will be a cool one.
