PHOENIX -- A strong ridge of high pressure continues to bring warm weather to the Valley.
While morning lows have continued to stay cool in the 30s and 40s, afternoon highs soared to 74 degrees on Tuesday afternoon. That's almost 10 degrees above average for this time of year.
We'll see similar temperatures today with afternoon highs near 75 degrees. About the same is expected tomorrow before we have our warmest afternoon this week on Friday with highs near 77 degrees.
The West's strong ridge of high pressure weakens slightly over the weekend and temperatures fall just a bit. Look for highs in the low to mid 70s this weekend and more dry and sunny weather into early next week.
