PHOENIX -- A warm weekend is ahead for the Valley.  Temperatures should peak near 101 degrees this afternoon under mostly sunny skies.

A slow warming trend is forecast through Monday, with temperatures peaking near 102 Saturday, 103 Sunday and 104 Monday.  No rain and plenty of sunshine is in the forecast for the Valley, but showers are possible today and tomorrow in the high country.

Valley football fans can expect some hot temperatures for tailgating this weekend.  For the ASU game versus Wisconsin tomorrow, look for game-time temps near 95 degrees at 7:30 p.m. kickoff.  If you're tailgating a few hours earlier, look for triple-digit heat near 102 degrees.

The Arizona Cardinals are taking on the Detroit Lions this Sunday at the University of Phoenix Stadium at 1:05 p.m.  If you're tailgating in the morning, temperatures should be in the 80s until about 10 a.m. when we'll move into the 90s.  We'll see 100 degrees by about 1 p.m. when the game starts.

Mostly sunny skies and light winds are expected all weekend with moderate humidity.
