PHOENIX -- Warm and dry weather is expected for the weekend, but big changes aren't too far away.
Friday started off mostly clear with mild morning lows in the low 60s. Temperatures should climb well above average today to about 91 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
Over the weekend, high clouds are expected with afternoon highs both days near 90 degrees. Morning lows will bottom out in the upper 50s and low 60s.
Early next week, an area of low pressure will move through the Southwest. The most noticeable change will be a big cool-down.
Temperatures should top out in the low 80s Monday and upper 70s on Tuesday. The storm will also bring strong winds, especially on Monday. Rain chances are uncertain at this point, but look best for Northern and Eastern Arizona.
The Valley has about a 20-percent chance of showers and thunderstorms both day, but those chances could change as the storm gets closer.
