PHOENIX -- Dry and quiet weather continues for Arizona today. Temperatures will soar to above-average levels today in the Valley and stay there through the weekend.

The normal high for this time of year in the Valley is 74 degrees, but we'll warm to about 81 degrees this afternoon under partly sunny skies. Overnight lows will dip to the 50s.

More high clouds are expected tomorrow for another partly sunny day in the low 80s.

On Friday, a storm approaches from the northwest and will bring rain and snow chances to Northern and Eastern parts of the state. Little to no accumulation is expected.

The Valley will stay dry as that storm quickly moves through the northern portion of the state.

Winds are expected to pick up though for breezy conditions in the deserts of the state both Friday and Saturday. A warm and dry weekend is expected with sunshine and afternoon temperatures in the low 80s.
