PHOENIX -- After a cold couple of weeks, Valley temperatures finally return to near-normal levels this afternoon.
Morning lows bottomed out in the mid 30s to mid 40s around the Valley today, but no spots got down to freezing. Under partly sunny skies, we'll warm to about 68 degrees this afternoon. The average high for today's dates is 67 degrees is the average high for today's date. We'll be slightly above that again tomorrow and Friday, with highs just shy of 70 degrees.
High clouds are streaming into the state from the southwest, but no rain is expected today. The clouds are associated with an area of low pressure to our southwest. As that low moves through Arizona tomorrow, the Valley will have a slight chance of light rain during the day, with higher rain chances in higher elevations to our east.
Dry weather is expected Friday and through the weekend, with even warmer temperatures in the low 70s expected by the start of next week.
