DALLAS -- As many as 15 tornadoes tore through North Texas on Tuesday, ripping roofs from homes and businesses, tossing trucks into the air and leaving flattened tractor-trailers strewn along highways and parking lots. Dozens of buildings were damaged, but there have been no reports of deaths associated with the storm system.

The National Weather Service has confirmed that the most destructive tornado was declared a Category EF3 storm, which had winds up to 150 mph. The City of Forney, Texas has reported 95 homes damaged, 22 of which were destroyed. While seven people were injured, city officials said they were minor. The city has reported 500 volunteers are assisting in clean up and other services.

The National Weather Service is continuing their investigation into the Kennedale/Arlington storm damage, but they have reported that the tornado that hit Lancaster, Dallas and Hutchins was an EF2.
