PHOENIX -- The next couple of days we don’t expect to see much convection around metro Phoenix. However, as some moisture from dying Tropical Storm Erick off the southern tip of Baja combines with a more favorable upper level wind pattern, we’re expecting a rather significant uptick in thunderstorms Thursday and Friday statewide.
Even the Valley has a decent chance to see some thunderstorms with measurable rain. The last time it rained was April 8 -- three months ago.
In the meantime, temperatures will stay above normal until the moisture makes it into Arizona. And Tuesday and Wednesday, we might see some blowing dust around metro Phoenix.
