PHOENIX -- After 67 days of dry weather in the Valley, we're looking at a wet and cool change by the weekend.

Partly cloudy skies are forecast for the Valley today, with above average afternoon temperatures peaking near 80 degrees.

We'll be breezy tomorrow with temperatures in the upper 70s as a storm rolls through Northern Arizona. That part of the state will see rain chances tomorrow, but the real soaker arrives Friday night.

On Friday, a storm approaches from the west bringing cloudy skies and a slight chance of Valley rain during the day. By Friday night, rain is expected to become widespread and potentially heavy across the state.

Rain continues Saturday, with thunderstorms and windy weather possible, too. The Valley could see up to an inch or more of rain total.

There's a chance of rain again on Sunday before the storm moves out by Monday. Temperatures will only manage to reach the low to mid 60s both Saturday and Sunday.

In the high country, rain chances begin Thursday and continue through Sunday. At some point, rain is expected to switch over to snow, likely late Saturday, although exact snow levels and amounts are still uncertain.
