PHOENIX -- Abundant monsoon moisture moving into Arizona will bring higher humidity, lower temperatures and an increased chance for monsoon storms across the state.
In the Valley, look for partly sunny skies and a high of about 105 degrees this afternoon. Strong storms forecast for Southern Arizona could push blowing dust toward the Valley this afternoon or evening. There's also a chance for rain in the Valley this evening, overnight and into tomorrow morning.
Storm chances continue for the Valley through Friday.
We're forecasting a high of 100 for Thursday and 103 for Friday.
We'll warm up and dry out a bit over the weekend, but storm chances continue for the high country.
The Storm Prediction Center, a branch of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), includes parts of Arizona in its risk for severe thunderstorms today. Here's a link to today's convective outlook: http://snipr.com/27f5bkz
