PHOENIX -- The high in Phoenix as of 3:45 p.m. Friday was a record tying 111 degrees. That record goes back to 1986. That should be it for the really hot temperatures as more moisture heads into the area. That will tend to limit our highs.
The chance for thunderstorms increasing on Saturday evening to 30 percent and by Sunday into Monday, that chance is right at 50 percent, a flip of the coin.
Much of the moisture may divert away from Phoenix, but right now, it’s looking pretty good.
