PHOENIX -- It looks to be a mild Christmas for Arizona this year. A ridge of high pressure will keep skies mostly clear over the state this week, with above-average afternoon temperatures expected near 70s degrees all week.
Overnight lows will dip to the upper 30s to upper 40s around the Valley.
There is a Health Watch today for the Valley for unhealthy levels of particulates.
It is also a No Burn Day in Maricopa County, which means you cannot use wood-burning fireplaces, outdoor fire pits or chimineas. Tomorrow is also likely to be a No Burn Day, as air quality is expected to deteriorate further.
A storm is forecast to move through Arizona this weekend, but at this point it looks to bring only cloud cover and no rain to the Valley. Afternoon temperatures may lower slightly to the upper 60s.
