PHOENIX -- Afternoon temperatures continued to be above normal on Wednesday with several locations around metro Phoenix seeing temperatures around 90.

Overnight lows will continue to be right around 60 degrees for Phoenix through the weekend.

Expect a continuation of well above normal daytime highs through Thursday as high pressure aloft persists over the western United States.

A weak weather disturbance will bring slightly cooler weather Friday and Saturday, though daytime highs will remain a few degrees above normal.

High pressure aloft will redevelop over the southwest United States Sunday through Tuesday, bringing a warming trend with a return to well above normal temperatures. No precipitation is forecast during the next seven days.

By the way, we’re finishing out the month with an average high of just over 91 degrees for Phoenix and average low of 67. That’s about the same as October of 2011.
