PHOENIX -- By late week, a cold front will bring chances for rain to Arizona, mainly in northern and western portions of the state. The front will also bring cooler temperatures, clouds and breezy conditions.

Tuesday, look for an instant replay of Monday: sunshine with highs in the mid-90s.

Wednesday: We’ll start to cloud up a bit ahead of the cold front. By Wednesday afternoon, high clouds will blot out the sun.

Thursday and Friday: There’s a 30 percent chance for scattered showers around metro Phoenix beginning Thursday afternoon and lasting into the morning hours Friday.

However, there’s only about a 10 percent chance we’ll get more than 1/10” of rain. Most of the rain is forecast in northern and western Arizona with some locations forecast to get more than 1/2" of rain.

Highs in the Valley on Thursday will drop into the mid-80s. By Friday, we’ll see highs in the 70s!
