PHOENIX -- Oct. 14 is the day our average afternoon high in the Valley drops from 90 degrees to 89 degrees.
But much to the delight of desert dwellers, our forecast is for afternoon temperatures to stay below average throughout the week ahead.
A westerly flow keeps skies clear and temperatures pleasant.
Afternoon highs will top out around 84-85 degrees all week, with overnight lows around town ranging from the low 50s to the low 60s under clear skies.
No rain is expected within the next seven days and no major changes are expected for the next weekend with more sunshine and mild temperatures in the forecast.
