Photos: Morning rain, thunderstorms usher in active weather weekend

A Sunbelt construction employee and security guard at Leisure World in Mesa came to the rescue of a couple who were pushed off the road and down the fairway. Minutes later the car was completely submerged. This picture was taken after the water had receded about 6-7 feet. Without the rescue it is almost certain the elderly couple's fate would have been much more tragic.
