PHOENIX -- A mild Thursday is forecast for the Valley as our tranquil weather pattern continues.
After morning lows in the mid 30s to mid 40s across town, we'll warm to about 75 degrees this afternoon. Look for partly sunny skies as cirrus clouds move through.
An increase in cloudiness coming in from the southwest is expected Friday and Saturday, although rain is unlikely.
Virga, or rain that evaporates before it makes it to the ground, is possible Saturday. The Valley has gone 33 days now without rain, and Flagstaff is at 32 days without snow. The record dry streak for winter in Flagstaff is 39 days, and that record could be easily broken soon with no snow in the forecast for the next seven days.
The weekend is looking warm and dry with Valley highs in the 70s. We could see high temperatures near 80 degrees by the middle of next week.
