PHOENIX -- As a storm system moves north out of Arizona, the Valley is in for a pretty pleasant day of weather.

Rain and thunderstorms are still expected in Northern Arizona today, but should stay north of the Valley. There is a slight chance for a stray shower or storm, but more than likely the Valley will stay dry.

After morning lows in the upper 60s and low 70s, we'll warm up to about 94 degrees this afternoon.  The average high for this time of year is 102 degrees, but we'll stay below that all the way through the weekend.

Look for mostly sunny skies and temperatures near 100 degrees both tomorrow and Friday.

Sunshine and warm weather is expected this weekend with Valley highs near 101 and overnight lows dipping to the upper 70s and low 80s.
