SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. -- Crews are working to clean up major damage left behind by what the National Weather Service has confirmed was a microburst in San Tan Valley.

Intense winds estimated in the 55- to 65-mph range took down 70 power poles, Utility crews are working to replace those poles.

Because of those repairs, Hunt Highway is severely restricted. According to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, it's closed at Quartzsite (Copper Basin), Johnson Ranch Boulevard and Thistle Trail.
