PHOENIX -- High clouds will help keep temperatures mild this Memorial Day.
The Valley is expected to warm to about 95 degrees under partly sunny skies. That's about 3 degrees below average for this time of year.
Winds should stay light in the Valley, but it will be breezy in the high country where afternoon temperatures will peak in the mid 70s to mid 80s.
Winds will pick up statewide Tuesday as a low pressure system moves by to our north. Southwesterly winds will bring gusts of up to 30 miles an hour in the Valley Tuesday, with sustained winds that high in the high country.
No rain is expected in the deserts, and there is only a very slight chance for an isolated shower in the high country Tuesday. After that, no rain is expected for at least the next seven days.
Partly sunny skies will keep Valley temperatures in the mid 90s again Tuesday and Wednesday, but upper 90s are likely for Thursday and Friday, with triple digits returning by next weekend.
