PHOENIX -- Arizona's weather pattern is shifting a bit for the next few days. Fewer storms, lower humidity and higher temperatures are in the forecast.
Strong high pressure building to our east will bring a flow of drier air into Arizona, limiting storm potential through Friday. At the same time, mostly sunny afternoons will bring warmer temperatures.
In the Valley, we'll be a lot closer to our record of 112 degrees for today than our average of 103 degrees for today's date. We should warm up to about 110 degrees both today and tomorrow under mostly sunny skies. Overnight lows will dip to the mid 80s.
On Friday, temperatures will drop off a bit and by the weekend, storm chances return. The Valley has a 30 percent chance of storms this weekend, with near-normal temperatures expected.
