PHOENIX -- After an active monsoon Monday aross the Valley, Tuesday looks to be relatively quiet for the deserts of the state.

Drier air working its way into the eastern portion of the state will limit storm development today.  We'll continue to see higher humidity, and higher temperatures today, too.  In the Valley, look for an afternoon high of about 104 degrees under partly sunny skies.

There is a 10 percent chance of storms today, but an increased chance by late tomorrow and into the weekend as tropical moisture returns to the state.

Temperatures wil peak only in the double digits by Thursday.

Storm chances decrease in the Valley by Labor Day, but temperatures will stay a bit below average, peaking just above 100 degrees.

Storm chances remain high today in Northern and Northwestern Arizona, where a Flash Flood Watch is in effect until tonight.  Affected communities include Kingman, Flagstaff and Prescott.
