PHOENIX -- Valley residents can expect just a couple more warm days before our first big fall storm brings cool changes.  Tuesday morning temperatures were in the 60s and low 70 across the Valley, and were expected to warm up to about 93 degrees during the afternoon under mostly sunny skies.  About the same can be expected tomorrow.

A storm system just off the coast of Northern California is slowly working its way to Arizona.

A cold front will begin moving west to east across Arizona Thursday, bringing windy weather and possibly patchy blowing dust.  It will also bring rain, with the best chances for measurable precipitation being in Northern and Western Arizona.

The Valley has about a 20-30 percent chance for light rain and isolated thunderstorms late in the day Thursday through Friday morning.

The storm will also bring much cooler weather. Temperatures are only expected to peak in the upper 80s Thursday and in the upper 70s Friday, but rebounding to the 80s with clear skies for the weekend.  Overnight lows are also expected to dip to the 50s in the Valley.
