PHOENIX -- A few weather disturbances pass to our north this week for dry and windy weather here in Arizona.
We have a Red Flag Warning for the entire northern half of the state today, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Winds are expected out of the southwest at 25-35 mph, gusting to 55 mph. A Wind Advisory is also in place. Fire danger will be very elevated both today and tomorrow.
The Valley also will be windy, but no watches or warnings at this time. Look for southwesterly winds by this afternoon at 10-20mph, gusting to 30mph. Temperatures will hover near average today, with sunny skies and an afternoon high of 104 degrees.
It will be windy again tomorrow with 20 to 25 mph winds in the Valley and a bit cooler at near 100 degrees by Wednesday before a slight warm-up by Friday and through weekend.
Dry weather continues. No sign of a monsoon pattern developing just yet, although the season officially began yesterday.
