PHOENIX -- A dry cold front that’s moving toward Arizona is expected to drop temperatures several degrees by the end of the week and into the weekend.

Until then, high pressure is producing a westerly flow that will keep temperatures seasonably warm, skies clear and winds light.

Wednesday morning’s temperatures across the Valley started out in the 60s and low 70s. Meanwhile, the high country saw the upper 30s to upper 40s. We’re expecting a high in Phoenix of 94 Wednesday afternoon with an overnight low of 68.

Little change is expected Thursday before the front swings through starting Friday.

By Friday afternoon, we’re expecting a high in Phoenix of 90 degrees, with a high Saturday of 89. Overnight lows across the Valley should dip to the upper 50s and low 60s.

Winds will also become gusty ahead of the front and may remain breezy through the weekend. No rain is expected with this system.
