PHOENIX -- Mother Nature is bringing a change of scenery in Arizona for part two of the weekend.

Clouds moved into the state early Sunday morning and are expected to stick around through the evening hours as a storm system brushes just north of the state and allows a southwesterly flow of moisture off the Pacific to move in. The mountains are expected to see a couple of stray showers through Sunday evening and possibly into early Monday morning. High temperatures in the Valley on Sunday afternoon will top out at around 80 degrees.

The sunshine should reappear on back to work Monday as a ridge of high pressure builds again over the region. Valley temperatures should cool slightly during the afternoon, reaching the upper 70s.

Sunny skies will hang around for Tuesday and Wednesday, with Valley afternoon highs rebounding to the low 80s.

A weak disturbance will move into the region for Thursday, dropping temperatures back into the mid 70s for Valley highs.

A stronger storm system will sweep through the area Friday and through next weekend, allowing temperatures in the Valley to tumble into the 60s. Rain will also be in the forecast during this time, with gusty winds and snow in the mountains.
