PHOENIX -- The cloudy skies that we rang in the first day of spring with are clearing out Thursday afternoon. Meanwhile, temperatures in the Valley are expected to once again top out in the mid 80s.
A weak weather disturbance crossing northern Arizona should be out of the region later in the day, allowing sunshine to break through. Expect a warm high of 86 in Phoenix. A normal high temperature for this date is 78. Flagstaff will reach 60 for a high.
Above-normal temperatures and sunshine will continue for Friday. Expect the mid 80s during the afternoon once again the Valley.
The 70s make a comeback for your weekend as a dry cold front ushers in cooler air from the north. Expect highs in the Valley ranging from 77 to 79 degrees both Saturday and Sunday. Overnight lows will also cool back to the low 50s and upper 40s under mostly clear skies.
A slow warming trend is expected next week as high pressure builds back into the region. Look for daytime highs returning to the low and mid 80s for the first half of the week under sunny skies.
