PHOENIX -- A nice, warm Wednesday is on tap for the Valley, but a winter storm is eying Arizona and could impact your weekend.
Today, the storm is located just offshore of the Pacific Northwest.
We'll see a high of about 80 today in the Valley under mostly sunny skies, and temperatures will rise to the upper 70s tomorrow with an increase in high clouds expected.
By Friday, winds and rain chances increase. In the Valley, look for southwest winds between 10 and 20 mph with gusts possible up to 30 mph. Rain is likely during the day Friday, and possible Friday night, too. Thunderstorms and small hail are also a possibility.
Snow levels are expected to dip to 4,000 feet, and areas above 7,000 feet could get 8-12 inches of snow between Thursday night and Saturday night. Most of the snow will fall Friday and Saturday.
There is a slight chance for lingering rain on Saturday in the Valley, and Sunday looks dry and warmer. Friday's highs will only top out in the mid 60s, and temperatures will struggle to reach 60 degrees in the Valley on Friday.
Next week looks much warmer and dry.
