PHOENIX -- It was another chilly start to the day in the Valley, with overnight lows dipping to the 30s Tuesday morning.
The afternoon is expected to be a bit warmer than yesterday, with a forecast high of 65 degrees. Clear skies will be the rule through today, tonight and tomorrow.
On Thursday, a cold front approaches and winds are expected to pick up statewide. By Thursday night, rain and snow showers develop, with a chance for rain in the Valley Thursday night and Friday morning.
Although the storm is expected to depart on Friday, it will leave behind a very cold air mass. Look for afternoon highs in the low 50s this weekend and overnight lows that could dip to the 20s across the Valley. That could mean freeze warnings, or even hard freeze warnings for Saturday and Sunday morning.
