PHOENIX -- Valley temperatures are expected to top out at record levels again this afternoon, as our August heat wave continues.

Look for afternoon highs near 115 today, with overnight lows tonight only dipping to the upper 80s.

Tomorrow won't be much cooler. Afternoon highs will again top out near 115 Wednesday and 112 on Thursday.

An excessive heat warning continues for the Valley, and much of Arizona, until Thursday evening.

Temperatures drop back a bit Friday and into the weekend, and enough monsoon moisture returns to bring a slight chance of thunderstorms and rain back to our Valley forecast.
