PHOENIX -- If you’re a fan of 80-degree temperatures, you’re in luck.
Saturday afternoon kicked off what will be a streak of daytime highs in the 80s across the Valley. Very little change in the weather pattern is expected for the next seven days.
Sunday morning, temperatures across the Valley should start out in the 50s and low 60s. Phoenix should see a low of 60. By Sunday afternoon, look for a high of 87. While warmer than the past several days, temperatures are still running a couple of degrees cooler than seasonal averages. A normal high in Phoenix for this time of year is 90 degrees.
Winds will increase Sunday as a trough of low pressure brushes north of Arizona. The strongest winds will remain below advisory criteria. Look for speeds of 5 to 15 miles per hour in the Valley through Monday as the system swings east.
Sunday night, overnight lows will again dip to the upper 50s and low 60s in the Valley. Monday afternoon’s high in Phoenix should top out around 85 degrees.
Our days are getting shorter as we continue to move through the month of October. Saturday night’s sunset is at 5:58 p.m. Sunday morning’s sunrise is at 6:31 a.m.
