PHOENIX -- As the ridge of high pressure that has been bringing us the recent hot weather weakens, we’ll see temperatures cool off a little bit for the end of the week and the weekend.

Expected highs in Phoenix through Sunday will be in the range of 105 to 108 degrees, which is still above average for this time of year.

Next week is also looking very dry with temperatures above average (what’s new, right?).

We continue to look for those early signs of the monsoon pattern developing but so far, we’re not seeing it.

Even though the “season” starts on Saturday, it seems more and more likely that we’ll get a late “arrival” of the monsoon.
