MESA, Ariz. -- Police are trying to determine if possible impairment caused a woman to lose control of her car and crash into a Mesa building Wednesday morning.

Aerial video from the Fort McDowell Casino News Chopper showed the car nudged up against a building in the area Brown Road and Country Club Drive.

The 56-year-old woman was pulling into a handicap parking space at Desert Vista Behavioral Health Center when she apparently hit the gas instead of the brakes, according to Sgt. Tony Landato of the Mesa Police Department.

"We are investigating the possibility of impairment," Landato said.

The woman reportedly suffered relatively minor injuries. Paramedics decided to transport her to a local hospital as a precaution.

Capt. Forrest Smith of the Mesa Fire Department said nobody else was hurt and there was no structural damage to the building.
