PHOENIX -- Arizona is in for round one of wet weather today. Some Valley residents woke up to a few sprinkles this morning, but rain should stay to our north and east the rest of today.
Look for mostly cloudy skies and a Valley high of about 76 degrees this afternoon.
Tomorrow, mostly cloudy conditions continue as a cut-off low-pressure system approaches Arizona from the southwest. Rain is likely across the high country and rain chances begin for the Valley during the afternoon and evening hours.
By Friday morning, rain becomes likely for the Valley and continues throughout the day. Thunderstorms are possible, and rainfall amounts could top one inch in spots. Rain chances continue Friday night and through the weekend, although the heaviest rain should fall on Friday.
Heavy rain is possible in the high country, and snow levels should fall enough to bring snow as well by late Friday and into Saturday.
The storm will also drop temperatures. Look for low 70s in the Valley tomorrow, upper 60s Friday and low 60s over the weekend.
