PHOENIX -- A strong spring storm will bring windy conditions to Arizona today. As a cold front moves through the state, Valley winds could gust to 35 mph today.

There is a Red Flag Warning in effect for the Valley from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for windy and dry conditions.

Fire danger is especially high today, and blowing dust is possible. The Valley is also under a Health Watch for pollution today because of the threat for blowing dust.

A wind advisory is in effect today for parts of the high country, including Flagstaff, for strong southwesterly winds today.

There is a chance of rain and even light snow in the high country with this storm, but not until tomorrow.

Today will be dry and windy. The Valley will not likely see any rain, but we will get a significant cool down.

Look for Valley highs in the mid 80s today and in the upper 70s tomorrow under partly cloudy skies both days.

Temperatures will warm back to the mid 80s on Thursday and to the mid 90s over the weekend.
