PHOENIX -- Picture perfect weather continues its reign in the Valley through the rest of the week and into the weekend, with little change next week.
Wednesday morning, Phoenix started off with a morning low of 58 under clear skies. By the afternoon, it was another round of low 80-degree temperatures across the Valley with abundant sunshine.
A dip in the jet stream continues to pump dry and mild air into the region, keeping temperatures a few degrees cooler than seasonal average and skies clear.
A few disturbances Thursday and into the weekend may brush north of Arizona, which could kick up winds slightly.
Heading into the weekend and next week, high pressure is expected to build in from the west, which should kick off a slight warming trend and keep skies virtually cloudless.
Thursday morning, look for low temperatures in the 50s across the Valley, with Phoenix bottoming out at 55. During the afternoon, highs should be in the low 80s, with Phoenix topping out at 83.
By Friday and into the weekend, expect the mid 80s for highs with lows holding strong in the mid 50s.
In the high country, we’re seeing overnight lows in the 20s and 30s with highs in the 50s and 60s. Flagstaff should dip to 27 Thursday morning with a high of 59 Thursday afternoon.
