PHOENIX (AP) -- Parts of Arizona are expected to be hit with scattered severe storms and possible flooding thanks to moisture from Tropical Storm Ivo ('EE-voh) in the Pacific.
Forecasters say the state should see storms around Saturday afternoon with periods of heavy rain.
The National Weather Service has issued a flash-flood watch for much of Arizona on Sunday because of the severe storms.
A tropical storm warning remains in effect for the Pacific coast of the peninsula from Punta Abreojos to Cabo San Lucas, and for the Gulf of California coast of the peninsula from Loreto to Cabo San Lucas. A tropical storm watch is in effect for the Pacific coast of Baja California north of Punta Abreojos to Punta Eugenia.
