PHOENIX -- Cool mornings, warm afternoons and abundant sunshine will be the trend next week in the Valley of the Sun.
A westerly flow aloft will keep temperatures near seasonal averages, skies clear and winds light through Thursday.
By Thursday night, a trough will brush by Arizona as it tracks east. This will bring periods of breezy winds through Saturday and will modestly drop temperatures a couple of degrees. No rain is expected from this system.
For Monday morning, look for an overnight low in Phoenix of 68 degrees with an afternoon high of 95. For Tuesday, we should see a high of 96. In the high country, lows will range in the 30s and 40s during the morning, then warm to the 70s and 80s.
